Zara Lawler

Zara Lawler combines music, dance, and theater. She staged Sciarrino’s Il Cerchio Tagliato dei Suoni for 104 flutes at the Guggenheim Museum. Other projects include Symmetrical Lives: a danced Bach B Minor Suite (created for the NFA), a staged song cycle of music from the beloved classic A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and two albums with her flute and percussion duo Lawler + Fadoul. She studied at Juilliard with Carol Wincenc and Sam Baron, and is a trained Suzuki teacher and teacher trainer.
