Richard Dyer wrote about music for The Boston Globe for 33 years. He is a two-time winner of the ASCAP Award for Distinguished Music Criticism and has been Brigg-Copeland Lecturer on Music at Harvard University, on the faculty of University of Iowa and Boston University, and has given guest seminars at The Juilliard School, New England Conservatory, Boston University, and more.
