Ceylon Mitchell II

Dr. Ceylon Mitchell II is a flute professor, performer, and entrepreneur on a mission to celebrate marginalized identities in the arts. He is the flute professor at Bowie State University, the woodwinds department chair with Levine Music, and the leader of his own music collective, Raíces Negras, which celebrates Black and Latine voices with repertoire spanning contemporary classical music to contemporary Pan-American jazz and everything in between. Mitchell also supports creatives, arts organizations, and beyond with personalized multimedia production and digital marketing consulting as the co-founder, chief executive officer, and principal consultant of M3 | Mitchell Media & Marketing, LLC. Mitchell is a member of the Career & Artistic Development Committee.
